CanterValley is a supplier of quality gourmet poultry products to the restaurant and food service markets in New Zealand and is located at Sefton North Canterbury.

This is a family owned business, striving to be environmentally conscious and practices sustainable welfare management processes. We maintain high levels of food safety with a focus on continuous quality improvement. Canter Valley is an approved poultry processor by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority and is Halal certified.

Canter Valley controls the process from breeding, growing, processing, marketing and distribution to you, our valued customers. Selected contract growers are engaged in the North Canterbury region to rear and grow our products prior to processing.

Our products can be supplied either fresh or frozen (depending on our processing schedule) and we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible service and quality.

Whole Duck

• European Duck (head and feet off) available in sizes from 17 to 24 (1.7 -2.4kg)

Duck Breast

Skin on duck breast is supplied as a double breast and graded into 3 sizes:
• Extra Large >500 grams 2 double breasts perpack
• Large 400 -500 grams 2 double breasts perpack
• Medium <400 grams 2 double breasts perpack
If consistency of size is not important a random size grade is available. Approximately 20kg per carton.

Duck Leg Portions (leg and thigh)

Graded into 2 sizes:
• Large >230grams 4 perpack
• Medium 190 -230grams 6 perpack
If consistency of size is not important a random size grade is available. Approximately 15kg per carton.

Duck Liver

100% Duck Liver perfect for Pate and uses limited only by your imagination Packed in a 1 kg resealable container. 15 x 1 kg per carton.

Rendered Duck Fat

Clarified Duck Fat in a 500gram pouch. Full offlavour and with a high flash point makes it the perfect product for roasting vegetables. Duck Confit is not the same without Canter Valley Rendered Duck Fat. 27 x 500 grams per carton.

Duck Wings

Use instead of chicken wings for a superior dish. Perfect as an entree confit.
Packed in 1 kg bags.

Turkey Mince

A lean dark meat (derived from thigh) with positive texture and cooking properties. With such versatility the uses for turkey mince are only limited by your imagination.
Packed in 400gms.

Turkey Liver

Perfect for pate instead of chicken or duck liver. Why not use turkey liver as an alternative to lambs fry. Approximate weight per liver is 160gms.

These delicate tasty birds are graded in 3 sizes:

Quail eggs

Small speckled pearls from nature with amazing content and a nutritional value greater than chicken eggs. A perfect addition to that special salad or dish. Quail eggs are packed 12 to the special protective carton. For orders of 1 to 5 dozen product is dispatched via New Zealand post. For larger orders product is dispatched via New Zealand Couriers.
